sweatband

Anyone wears headband or wristband? It's cool looking for some people like Kreanga and Zhang but it might be necessary for people with glasses.

Good topic.

I wear wrist band. I started this tradition from the time I was playing badminton. I use it primarily to wipe the sweat and locking the wrist. At the place where I have the wristband, I have a sensation of my wrist broken to move and use it effectively. I think a wrist band can also stop the flood flow to the wrist and from the wrist which helps some players to have better sensation for wrist play.

The headband helps to diiscipline the hair. As you have said, it helps players who use glasses.

i use wristband to stop the sweat to go down to the hand and blade's handle... i'm so used to playing with it so i don't play my best without it... unless the playing area is very cold...

I've started to wear wristband some months ago and still feel restricted today. I am considering not using it. If a swimmer feels faster by removing everything including body hair well then a tt player is in need of speed even more that he should not have anything on his body that makes him uncomfortable. I need it because I don't use a towel but I don't like the feeling of it. Does it ever go away? Does it not bother you anymore after a year or two?

Oh and BTW I try to put on a headband and I look very silly in the mirror (got the let's-get-physical look). Out the window it went!

Very good point. I haven't reaized this until you said this. I would like to open a new topic on dress for table tennis that helps fast movement. We have to consider badminton also as it is also fast game.

When it comes to the wrist band, there are many badminton players use it. When I get back on Tuesday, I would be able to post some pics of it.

Well, if you ask me, you can have the players wear very tight clothes not only for speed but also established a tt fashion trend. Wouldn't you like to look at Biba with sexy tight clothes? That ought to help us promote the sport--leave it to fashion and the girls. If skaters can do it we can too!

Are there sweatbands with tt logos like Dr N, Butterfly, Stiga, Donic, etc.? It's a cheap way of free advertising if they can just give them away.
