Inspirit Quattro ULTRALIGHT 2.2

BTW, Does anyone know how to fix my picture at the bottom? It's sort of like cut out.

This is one of my all time personal favorite rubbers, I'm currently using it on my forehand with a T05 on the backhand and a ALC. There's a a couple of main reasons why I choose this rubber to be my forehand rubber and my favorite rubber. NOTE: I was using a 729 Cream on Magic Red Sponge from Cole at the time I moved up to this rubber.

The first reason is the "Springiness", IMO it has just the right amount of spring for my type of play (Offensive, mostly used stroke being forehand loop). It doesn't matter when the balls a soft spiny ball or when it's a fast hard ball, there's always a perfect amount of spring. The very first I played with it, I thought there was actually was too much spring I was wrong. You just have to have a couple of hours to adapt to the change.

Spin, is surprisingly also pretty good as well. I'm not trying to be a sales man for a company or anything but this is the truth. I still remember the moment when I finally finish adapting to the change, and I realized the potentials of the spin generated by this rubber. I would rate the spin a 9/10 (10 being the awesome and 1 being horrible). If your a newbie to Table Tennis, I certainly would not recommend this rubber due to the way the rubber reacts to a on coming spinning ball. Although it would be easy for a experienced players, I do not recommend this to newbies.

Chopping was some what OK. I would give it a 7/10. Although it's extremely consistent, it's kind of hard to keep the ball low due to the spring of the rubber. Serving was a splendid experience, my servers dramatically became much more effective and it finally actually gave my opponents some difficulties returning them. Smashing of pretty good I would say a 8/10. Good strong smashes but I wish the rubber could be a little more easy to control.

Here's a picture I took using a Kodak Z812IS digital camera. I'm still finding a way to get a better photo of the rubber, so please don't criticize it b/c I know it's not the best. :| :| :|

Yes, the Dawei IQ UL is "springy". I was told one will get more speed with the UL and better for looping compared to other versions. I think this rubber is good for spin but still with good speed. The springgy feeling could be due to its high throw ability of the rubber. Since the UL has a thinner topsheet, it's throws are just a little higher than regular Inspirit Quatro. Sponge hardness from soft to medium. I would say that if you want more spin for looping, get the UL version in Dawei Quattro 40* sponge on FH, and use a softer rubber for the BH.

Did you take the picture with the blade cut-off or was it a complete picture of teh bat with the handle originally?

You can always zoom nearer (get closer) to the rubber marking and snap the picture so that the rubber information can be read easier.

It was originally the full blade, but when I linked it in to the thread it got cut off. So I just cropped it and resize it from my host, photobucket. Thanks for the tip, I will try that next time.

If the original picture is not cut, I think the forum image uploader somehow cuts it. Have you uploaded the image by using the forum uploader (by using the add attachment feature) or you embed the image from a different site?

I have to get some of these rubbers and play and play against also. At the tournament these rubbers trouble me a lot especially the 729 Cream.

Is it similar to 729 Cream?

It's been sort of a long time now, but I'll try to recall as accurately as I can. There was much more "spring" in the Inspirit Quattro ULTRALIGHT 2.2, UL is tackier IMO, and also the version I got for the UL has almost the same hardness/softness feeling compared to the cream. You can ask Cole if you additional details, sorry I haven't used a new sheet of cream since forever and I don't want to give you false info.

The Inspirit Quattro UL is lighter than its predesassor, the IQ. The IQ UL is just like any typical Euro/Japanese rubbers, that is the topsheet is thinner, so that it will let the ball sink in with a great catapult effect, and generates more spin than the regular IQ.
(Note : Have tried this on a 1-ply Hinoki OFF blade)

Whilst the 729 Cream is just like any other Chinese rubber, a good well-rounded rubber. Not very tacky, medium throw angle (low for a Chinese rubber), with medium soft sponge. (Comes with 2 type of sponge - the MRS which is softer or the traditionally Standard sponge, which is harder).
Personally, I find the Cream plays a decent serve and attack game, whilst still giving you the ability to rally from mid-table range and it has good control too. It is a good close to the table rubber for hitting, serving, looping and has good control when blocking opponents loops. Not so good for counter looping from distance more than 5 feet off the table.
(Note : Played this on a 5-ply OFF blade)

Overall, for me, the Cream is faster than the IQ UL but the UL is slightly tackier than the Cream.

That is a great info.

Have you tried 729 cream on carbon blades?
