What blades stand out as collectible that you can keep and will have value like the old Butterfly, old Stiga, old Banda Waldner, and old DHS?

Here are on my list:
Butterfly Schlager Carbon ST with the old metal logo
Butterfly Primorac Carbon AN with the old metal logo
Butterfly Korbel any handle with the old metal logo
Nittaku Acoustic FL or ST
Butterfly Kreange Carbon FL
Stiga Clipper Classic
Stiga OC CR
Joola R1 AN

They are definitely not cheap, but since they are not common I wonder if there is a demend for them years later. Collectible is a funny thing. Old Waldner stuff is so popular but the old Persson stuff is not as hot, even though he was also a world champ. I have one of those old Persson Donic blades but I don't see a big demend for it; all I can get back is the full price.

I had the change to buy this old Stiga cheap but I hesitated and wanted to wait for some unknown reasons; someone knowledgable came in and talk the uninformed seller into selling it at a reduced price. This is an old Stiga and that's a major thievery.

Yes, not sure if there will be a demand for them in years to come.

But for me collectible should be of sentimental value, like your first bat/blade when you started or your dad's first blade.

I have some rubbers used by players like Joo Se Hyuk, Chen Weixing, Kim, Lupi etc...

I would keep them as collectibles.

How about Butterfly Kenny style? I have a few passed down to me from my dad, I certainly consider them as collectibles! :D

The problem with collecting rubbers is that they don't last long. The sponge and surface will only last three, four years even in good storage. Signed autographs on bats would be more ideal (I have a few). Team shirts are even better, if you can get them (I have just one). They can cost up to $100 each. Since I've started this topic I have collected quite a few old Butterfly blades and some old stiga blades, not hard if you are willing to spend nowadays. You can still find them on ebay at very reasonable price. Unfortunately I can't say the same thing about the shipping cost!!! :o Now if only I can find a cheap first generation Banda Waldner with the brown handle......

An old Butterfly Surbek was sold for $50 this morning on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/PING-PONG-PADDLE-VI ... 286.c0.m14
I saw the blade first but was again on the fence. I need to first sell some paddles that I have to make room for stuff like this.

Well, I guess collecting collectibles is not cheap as well as will take up space to keep them.
