Ulmo Rosewood Carbon froum testing
blade: 5w+2c, about 5.5mm thick and listed at 90gr
handle: ST
rubbers: 1.9mm T25 (had to soften it with solvent for the rosewood), and 2.1mm T05

I tested this blade for 2hrs not with my usual rubbers. I play H3 or T05 on my Photino,
more often H3 forehand and T05 bh. Rosewood is a bit slower. In fact it's slightly
slower than Butterfly A/C like TBS, MM, and KLHS. Rosewood is better offensive blade
because of it's control and woody feel. The control for looping is very good for a
carbon blade. In the short game the control is more evident as short pushes, flips,
and first ball s can be very tight. Another plus to the short game is the feel of the blade--
it's medium feel but stiff. I can feel the ball on the blade very well. There is
enough power to loop with the rosewood from mid distance, as much as an ALC. The kill is
expected not as good as a Photino but as good as TBS. Both can provide good control and
feedback during fast rallies and defensive shots, when there is not a lot of time to react.
Overall, I like the offensive natural of the blade, thin blade with flat ST handle that
play allround offensive. The issue I have is the weight of the blade; it's listed
at 90gr and can be greater. I think rosewood can't be over 84gr for me because
I use heavier rubber than average and because rosewood seems slightly bigger than
standard (so more rubbers).

I have rigth now a blade similar to the Timo Boll ALC in my press. The blade is with a Kiri core, and Vectrn-Carbon with is also known as Arylate-Carbon. I am verry interested at the fist sesion! :geek:

I hope i can put the blade at the next weeks to my shop

I think an ALC is going to be very popular.
I play the rosewood one more time this past week for one match and enjoy the control and result of the service and following third ball attacks. I can do this with a higher percentage than my other blades.
