Wang Hao's team, P.L.A won against Ma Lin's team. What a fight to the finish.
P.L.A won 3:2. I feel bad for Ma Lin, a good come back from ma lin against wang hao, down 3-7 in the third set and won back 3-2 against Wang Hao, but in the final decisive match he had to play against Zhang Jike, the most difficult opponent for him in this team event.Ma Lin still managed to put up a fight although he probably knew deep down he is not going to win, 1st game he was down 0:6 and lost it 4:11, then managed to come back in the second game 11:4 but overall his team still lose by the narrowest margin.

Women's final result :

BEIJING 3-0 SHANDONG
Ding Ning v Li Xiaoxia 12-10, 12-10, 11-6
Zhang Yining v Peng Luyang 11-7, 8-11, 11-7, 11-9
Guo Yan v Cao Zhen 11-4, 11-8, 11-6

On a sidenote, Zhang Yining is going to get married. Not sure she will retired from tt or not.

No idea why there is no doubles. Have to refer to the China TTA for that matter.
I understand for table tennis, the mixed doubles matches just finished. Will update once I have got the results.

It was also tough for Wang Liqin/Xu Xin against Li Ping and Hao Shuai in the Final. It is the result of good understanding, smooth communication and growing confidence between the victors which helped them to clinched the Men Doubles champion title. Wang Liqin said “Last month they won in the China Open in Tianjin, beating Wang Hao and Zhang Jike, as well as Ma Lin and myself; they are not very strong in technical and tactical abilities but they combine well.”

But the ideal pair at the moment will be Xu Xin and Wang Liqin. They succeeded at the National Championship last year in Zhang Jiagang, Jiangsu Province and certainly, the left handed penholder, Xu Xin is an ideal foil for Wang Liqin. Xu Xin is the architect, Wang Liqin is the destroyer.
Furthermore, Xu Xin is becoming one of the world’s great doubles artists of the present time. At the Slovenian Open he partnered Zhang Chao to gold, whilst in Denmark and Qatar he emerged as the Men’s Doubles champion with Ma Long, the player with whom he was to win the silver medal at the H.I.S. World Championships.

Men’s Doubles results:
Semi-Finals
Xu Xin/Wang Liqin (Shanghai) bt Chen Qi/Shan Mingjie (Jiangsu) 11-8, 11-8, 11-6, 11-6
Li Ping/Hao Shuai (Tianjin) bt Qiu Yike/Wang Jianjun (Sichuan)12-10, 11-7, 11-8, 11-6

Final
Xu Xin/Wang Liqin (Shanghai) bt Hao Shuai/ Li Ping (Tianjin) 12-10,10-12, 11-5, 8-11, 11-5, 12-14 ,11-8

Ma Long seems to have Wang LQ's number every time they play. I wonder what is their head-to-head record?
