Are your legs the same?

Postby ejunkie » Sat Sep 05, 2009 2:41 am

Some players favor forehand and don't use their backhand. It would be very noticible when you do a little test. You do one leg jumps (say ten jumps) with each leg and if you have a strong side you are usually playing a lot of forehands. The longer you have been playing tt the more difference; you can leapfrog on one of the leg and can't stand straight the other.

Good point, ejunkie.

Both our legs are not the same, just like our forearms. One will be surely stronger than the other unless one "sculpture" his body like a body builder where both left & right part of the body must be symmetrical.

If you don't test your legs like I suggested you might not know that one of your leg is so weak in comparison. If you find out that is the case, then strengthing it is no problem--just the one leg jumping would do.

Jumping is hard thing for me to do. In the game it is okay.

When I saw the title, I thought you were talking about the length of the legs. A lot of people have their legs not the same. Lay back on your tummy on a table, keep the legs close and straight and reach out the toes to maximum you can. Ask your friend to see whether the toes of your both the legs can touch a straight line. I had one of my leg little shorter than the other one.
