The Asia-European All Stars Match will start today (25/8) in Beijing with live broadcast on CCTV5:

Five players in each team and in common with all team events, each individual match will be best of five games; the order of play being:
Tuesday 25th August 2009
Start 7.30pm (local time): A5 v E3, A1 v E2, A4 v E4, A2 v E1, A3 v E5
Wednesday 26th August 2009
Start 7.30pm (local time): A4 v E5, A2 v E2, A3 v E3, A1 v E1, A5 v E4

Asia representatives :
1) Ma Long
2) Ma Lin
3) Joo Se Hyuk
4) Chuang Chi Yuan
5) Cheung Yuk

Europe representatives :
) Vladimir Samsonov
2) K Kreanga
3) D Otcharov
4) Michael Maze

The order of play for the first encounter on Tuesday 25th August 2009 is:
Cheung Yuk v Dimitrij Ovtcharov
Ma Long v Kalinikos Kreanga
Chuang Chih-Yuan v Michael Maze
Ma Lin v Vladimir Samsonov
Joo Se Hyuk v Jörgen Persson.

Wednesday, August 26th, 7:30 pm local time, will be:
A4-E5 (CHUAN Chih Yuan vs. Jorgen PERSSON)
A2-E2 (MA Lin vs. Kalinikos KREANGA)
A3-E3 (JOO See Yuk vs. Dimitrji OVTCHAROV)
A1-E1 (MA Long vs.Vladimir SAMSONOV)
A5-E4 (CHEUNG Yuk vs. Michael MAZE).

The top 2 players on each team (as per world ranking) play against each other to guarantee the highest-profile clashes. Too bad Timo Boll could not make it .

So far the result I have gotten:
Ovtcharov beat Cheung Yuk 3-1.
Ma Long beat Kreanga 3-0.
Maze beat Chuan 3-2.
Now Malin vs Samsonov

I hope some miracle happens as Samsonov records against Ma Lin is 0-9.

But there is hope for Europe as the match won by Europe is by their young players, Otcharov & Maze.
