Butterfly Ekrips

Postby ejunkie » Mon Oct 12, 2009 11:23 am

Anyone thought on this rubber on why Butterfly doesn't try to get more players to buy a new version. The old version was very good with lots of spin and slower speed similar to Tackifire drive type of rubber. It's also has a very cool purple sponge. I seem to remember Zhang used it on her forehand for a long time.

Nobody has used this rubber? It's a very spiny and slow Jap rubber.

This is a wee slow rubber from Butterfly. The slowest rubber I have ever used is the PF4.

Anyway between Ekrips and Sriver, I personally prefer the Sriver.

I thought that someone must like this rubber because there are so many complaints that Chinese rubbers are slow but Japanese rubbers are not spiny enough, too fast, or lack control.

It may be similar to TSP Summit which is a Chinese tacky rubber with hard japanese sponge. I liked this rubber because it has excellent quality.

I still see Ekrips in the Butterfly catalog.
Blade: Custom

Both my friends play penholds, one J-pen and the other cpen using Ekrips. The one playing c-pen added LKT Pro XT rubber for his RPB strokes.
