Changing the color of Hardbat Pips

Postby varghese » Mon Dec 07, 2009 10:40 am

The Killerspin Hardbat classic paddle comes with pips in blue and red color. How can I change the blue color of the pips rubber on one side to black? Any kind of paint or coloring material work?

If you use paint I would think it would change the property of the rubber. You just have to take it off and replace it.

Peeling that rubber would be a tough job. Probably it would destroy the wood also.

Not unless you have sealed the blade first, then it should be easy to peel it off.

If you don't use it in official tournamnets you can paint over it with a spray can paint that you see people use on walls. Go to an art supply store and tell them what you are looking for. They can assist you better.

No 729, it's a blade that Killerspin sell/give out. He had no chance of sealing it.

Oh I see. Well it will be a waste if the blade is damaged.

Yes. This is a pre-made or pre-assembled paddle. The rubber sheet is already on it.

Here are some pictures of this paddle.
