Defend youself

Postby ejunkie » Sat Sep 05, 2009 3:04 am

Defense is the biggest part of winning in table tennis. According to Waldner, the master, the feeling of lobbing and chopping is like playing a game. This is my conclusion--When you don't have control of the point you need to have more time for you, let the ball go higher, or when you need to calm yourself or to think more, you can let the ball go higher and slow things down. Even if you are in trouble, you can't give up so easy when the point is not over. You need to fight like a dog.

The best Defence is Offense.

So, when I do not know what to do, go on the offensive.

With the advancement in technology, most of the rubbers found today are for the offensive players.
I foresee players like Waldner, Persson, Joo SH will be a thing of the past as lesser and lesser players are keen to play defensively.
