The results may say who is the dominant in the world still. My assumption (1) China (2) Korea (3) Japan.

I tend to agree with varghese prediction.
Given another 2 - 3 years, maybe Japan & Korea will reverse the placing in the East Asia Games, ie 1) China 2 ) Japan 3) Korea. The reason is that while I do not foresee any of the young Korean players doing well in international scene, but Japan do have a few of them, notable one being Kenta Matsudaira.

Results from the East Asia Games :
Men Team Final Winner - China (Hao Shuai, Lei Zhenhua, Xu Xin, Wang Hao and Zhang Jike).
China prevailed with a score 3 to 1 against Japan(Seiya Kishikawa, Kenji Matsudaira, Jun Mizutani and Kaii Yoshida).

Women Team Final Winner - Hong Kong
Women Team Runners-up - China
For the first time China women players made head turns not with their table tennis skills but new attires.

As for the Men Singles and Women singles, it was China all the way.
Xu Xin emerged as the champion with Zhang Jike as the runners-up in the Men Single.
Yao Yan emerged as the champion with Wen Jia as the runners-up in the Womens Single.
