Looping Style Player

Postby acer800 » Sun Aug 16, 2009 12:17 pm

I don't consider myself an Advanced player, but I'm looking to move on to advanced equipment just for the fun of it. I'm looking for a really good looping rubber for my forehand side. I'm currently using a Dawie UL for that side, and it's getting old so I want new rubber. Does anyone have any suggestion for a looping style player? I like to be on the more spinny side than speed, but speed is also important to me.

Already tried that :D . Would T25 OR PERHAPS T64 be a good rubber to try?

What's you problem with T05?
T25 is just as good in the spin department as T05 and faster--it feels harder. If I were you, I would also consider 729-08 (slower), BW(faster than 729), Neo H3, and Spin Art (not yet available).

H3 or the newer version, the Neo H3.
1) Primary set-up : YinHe(Galaxy) 986 Sriver FX / Pluto
2) Spare set-up 1 : Japan LAK - CJ8000 / 799 OX
3) Spare set-up 2 : Palio T7 - White Shark / 729 FX

Nothings wrong Im just interested in a little bit of EJing :D . Is there any "cons" on the T25 compared to the T05? I might go with the 729-08 for this time. It's much easier on the wallet than those tenergy rubbers

No. I think T25 is more powerful than T05 now. It's a faster rubber, feels harder, and has more gears. T05 is still easier to spin and a great combo with hard blades like the Schlager Carbon. Two T05 with Schlager Carbon can get you in jail for illegally carrying a weapon without a license. :D T25 is harder and can combine with softer blades and still as good as the SC/T05 combination. Not everyone wants to use SC.
The problem with 729-08 is like H3--Chinese rubbers are very inconsistent. It's possible that you buy two and only one is good. Then you spend $30 for one 729-08.

I see. No wonder I didn't really like my H3 the first time I got it. What about T64? Would that be a good try too? Thank you everyone for contributing already, I really appreciate all the help! :)

if you don't know by now... older type of chinese rubbers and also some of the newer ones... it will take several plays to "break-in" the rubbers... until then the rubber will play badly...

Yes, I've already known that. Maybe my H3 is a bad sheet? It's really really hard to the touch and it attract dusts way to much so I've basically given up on it. I've already tried priming and all that kind of stuff it's kind of weird I know many players LOVE this rubber.
