Qn to Adham: "rules are rules" nonsense

Postby varghese » Sat Jun 13, 2009 3:04 pm

This is a question taken from our previous forum.

In a democratic society the rights of the minorities are protected, not in tt. What is ITTF then?

If the majority of the voters said they want wooden blade only there goes a new law and my SC to the museum. If they want to limit thickness of the blade there goes my $$$ down the toilet with my Joola R1 and Dr Nuebauer Combination Effect. You get the picture?

Should we be very careful when make any changes to our sport? Should there be less frequency of these changes? Should we use common sense and not just "rules are rules" nonsense? Should we study the effect of making these changes?
