Qn to Adham: Impact of ITTF Rules on tournaments in the US

We are in the post-speed glue ban era. In the 2008 US Nationals, we could see 658 players who have participated in the tournmanet. In the 2009 US Open, we could see 613 players. These are according the USATT website statistics. This is a slight decline in the number of players compared to previous years tournaments.

Do you see same kind of decline in the number of players participating in the tournaments in other countries, and in international tournaments?
