Next I matched T25 on the Yashima blade after a week and a half on the W-3. I love this setup a lot, the only thing i have to be careful with is the very low throw angle with this setup but that didn't take long to adjust to. I like T25 on the Yashima more than on the W3 because of the control. T25 is a faster rubber compared to 729 FX or Sriver, but with this set-up the T25 is controllable as the blade is soft (in the ALL category, in my opinion).
Looping
I like to start off close to the table by opening with slow spinny loops and driving some balls right off the bounce, then eventually backing up and looping my opponent. As of right now I am very happpy with the T25 and Yashima setup. For counter looping as well as warm-up loops, whether near or mid-distance from table, the T25 never failed me. This rubber produced spinny loops, more visible when performing it mid-distance and further, with a medium arc
Serves
No complain here, just excellent. I can serve well with this rubber and push well too. I haven't noticed huge difference in that area with these. My conclusion is that T25 is a very good rubber for closer to the table play, it is much easier to take the ball right off the bounce with this rubber.
Blocking
Good control-block by this rubber that did not go too high.
Driving
Need to add more strength to my drives since the wood of this blade is a soft one.
Conclusion :
For me, the T25 represents a good competitor to all those ESN rubbers out there.
Tenergy doesn't really resemble anything I have used before. T25 feels unrefined to me. It is good enough as it is that I will not prematurely replace it, but I think a better rubber can be made with the technologies in Tenergy. Only thing to monitor is its durability. If it is like Sriver, then it is sure value for its worth.
One quirk of Tenergy is that the power is not linear when playing with Yashima blade. I can only explain this as hitting the rubber with “1 time force” maybe produce a shot with “1 time power”, but hitting a shot with Tenergy using “2 times force” may produce a shot with “3 times power”.
