Looking at the tv schedules for shanghai sports and cctv5, I think there are some table tennis screening today. According to the schedule, shanghai sports will show some of the women's trials tonight starting at 9 pm ET, then they are showing some more starting at 7 am ET tomorrow .

The cctv5 schedule says they will show the women's team trials wednesday night from 9 pm ET and then from 11:45 pm ET (or 10 am and 11:45 am thursday morning in china).
Cctv5 will then start up with the men's trials at 1:45 am ET friday morning (2:45 pm friday afternoon in china) and 3:35 am ET saturday morning (4:35 pm saturday afternoon in china).

Not sure which station is the correct one. We will have to wait and see.

I'm surprised there are not many people interest in watching this Trials. The best women's table tennis is playing, for free, at convenient times (except in the morning) for those in the Canada / US time zones. I doubted that anyone will be recording the videos.

China needs to pick 5 or 6 players for the World Team Championship. The favourites are Guo Yue, Liu SW, Li XX, Ding Ning and may be Guo Yan.

The one spot giving the coaches a headache is picking the next 'No. 1' to replace Zhang YN's position. It is not that easy as no one has "stand out" among the followings - the 'old' gang of Guo Yue and Li XX and the new 'gang' of Liu SW and Ding Ning just seem to take turn not fulfilling their true potential. The resurgence of Guo Yan complicates the matter further.
