well varghese you saw the rubber today
sponge color(yellowish white) and material seems quite similar to sinus actually, no air pockets or anything like tenergy. Comparing with the rubbers i have played.
Definitely has more spin and speed than sinus regular. Looping against normal rubbers was pretty easy and forgiving, just like tenergy 05. Looping against varghese's pips was another matter
It's hard to give concrete judgements after couple hrs of play, but heres observations:
spin is really close to tenergy 05, i wouldn't say it provides more than what tenergy does but its not far behind either.
varghese observed there were not much spin on my serves but in all honesty i wasn't trying to put much spin on serves, i just wanted sth easy to loop back and get used to rubber...
short game was pretty good, short drop balls over the net ..
blocking, i felt was better than tenergy because of its lower throw(at least that's how i felt). Throw of this rubber just felt right to me unlike tenergy, which took me days to get used to only. has lower arc on mid distance loops than tenergy, but not sure about power from mid distance. I was using 2.0 thick rubber though, now i wish i had bought the max version.
Now this is where I really really liked this rubber a lot, over the table looping...short of loop kill. (ma lin style). It was really easy to produce such shots with good consistency than with tenergy, it was easier to control as well.
Top surface is quite grippy and you can feel it when hitting the ball..which is non-existent in other tibhar rubbers i have tried. It is definitely lighter than tenergy, which is a big plus.
So overall i m quite happy with this rubber, short of middle ground between sinus and tenergy and suits my game i think. I just hope the spin keeps up for long enough. I will hit some more tomorrow hopefully
