What a surprise! Chen Weixing lost to Wang Zhen of Canada to 0-4. In the last year US Open tournament, Chen beat Wang Zhen.

The interesting part of this match was the chaos. The umpires called fault on Chen Weixing three times. Chen Weixing threw his paddle away, the audience screamed at the Umpires and what not.

Chen later made a comment that he will never be back in the US Open 2009 again.

Yes, there was a chaos.

I was there for that match. It is a long story to write. In a nutshell, the issue was related to Chen's serving over the table (his palm was over the table). This has happened to Tanja Hoffman also in her final against Gao Jun.

The umpires just tried to steal some show. If they are tough on these rules, they can call faults on just one or two serves, but on a lot of them.

Oh I see. But I thought the Rules would be understood by all the players before the tournament.
And the umpires should enforce any discrepancies in serving.
