Im not sure of other brands but I think Sardius is the fastest followed by Werner Schlager then Primorac Carbon anyone care to share I may be wrong and I need a really fast bat.

From Butterfly ratings and table tennis db rating(in bracket) :
1) Butterfly Sardius blade (OFF+) - Speed: 10.0 Control: 6.5 (8.5 & 5.0 from ttdb); Ply: 3 wood + 2 carbon
2) Butterfly Schlager (OFF+) Carbon - Speed: 10.0 Control: 6.5 (9.4 & 6.7 from ttdb); is a five-ply racket with a thick Balsa core, 2 layer of carbon and outer hinoki wood.
3) Butterfly Primorac Carbon ( OFF+) - Speed: 9.5 Control: 6.7 (8.8 & 6.9 from ttdb)

Never tried the first 2 but have tried Primorac carbon (cpen), it was a fast blade but still controllable.

I have use all three and I still have the SC and PC. SC is the fastest and the hardest. PC is the slowest and the softest of the three.

Thinking of getting the W.Schlager, combine with a Sriver EL FH Max may be a bit to much. Defend is out of the question but Im an offensive player think it would be a right combo? Currently using Primorac carbon and I still not fast enough I guess. Kong Ling Hui is even slower.

Any other brands besides Butterfly which equally fast.

Not sure of this, but I heard Xiom Stradivarus (I think it is spelt that way) could be a faster blade.

Lets see, some fast bats ha? Joola R1, Joola MC1, New TBS series, Stiga Titanium WRB, and the good old SC. I like SC the most for its stiff, hard feel. Very offensive, nothing allround and no defense whatsoever. Very masculine, bold, manly blade. It will put hair on yuor chest. I don't use it but I like it for my collection.

I just have a soft spot for the SC and I think it's worth collecting, especially the old metal logo ones. And it fits my collection because I like Butterfly blades.
Now, of the few new Timo boll blades I think the Tamca 5000 is the fastest i.e. TB T5000 followed by TB ZLC.

Well, looks like hurricane has a lot of choices to pick from.
One thing that I know of is when you choose a blade, use a ball and check out its bounciness. If it is very bouncy, it is a stiff blade (stiff = fast??) and the ball will "catapult" faster from the blade. You may lose some "control" on a very stiff blade unless your standard of play is high.

One problem that fast blades have is not being able to play close to the table and control the angles. This is true mainly because fast drives coming are hard to control with fast blades. Some slower blades that has the softer woody feel is better. The lost of speed is gain in more control of play. A blade like Kreanga Carbon is one example. It's fast enough and with control, and it's light enough to use the heavier rubbers like Tenergy. It's no longer legal but unless you play in tournments it's doesn't matter to most opponents.
